Single and isolated in the City of Love, Amelia Sharpe uses AI (her spirit guide) to repair her soulmate bond broken by a traumatic childhood event. But her own soul’s future isn’t the only thing hanging in the balance…
Synopsis
Amelia Sharpe: “Thirty, flirty and thriving”? Try “thirty, hurty, barely surviving”.
A British expat in Paris, she’s single, isolated, and when she sees her friends on a restaurant terrasse as 3 neatly-seated couples after cancelling on her, ready to end it.
She steps out into traffic. Something pulls her back.
Andromeda ‘Andy’ Ignis is a Guide up in the Ether, working with a career-defining project: a 22-Arcana soul named Amelia. When Amelia steps into traffic, Andy yanks her back, and deploys Artificial Intelligence via the ‘Andromeda’ App to guide Amelia towards something worth living for.
William Leroux is Hollywood’s hottest German actor. He has the perfect life: long-term partner, kids, money, and fame. Behind closed doors, he’s in the terrifying grip of a violently abusive narcissist. He needs something worth leaving for.
Amelia’s soulmate thread is severed following a traumatic childhood event. Under Andy’s guidance, she ties actual thread around her ankle and starts believing she deserves love and success (and a very famous soulmate?), allowing Andy time to find a repair.
When Amelia’s script gets produced with a star-studded cast, she becomes closer to William Leroux than she’d dare imagine.
William feels an inexplicable pull towards Amelia and her safety. He has no idea what’s really at stake for both of them, beside losing his family and career and reputation. He miserably returns to normal, but Amelia realises she can’t endure how things were.
It’s no longer just reaching for dreams, but surviving for the lives they should have had all along.
